Once a year, at exactly midnight on October 31, the gates of Heaven open wide, releasing the souls of dead children for 24 hours. The next day is the turn of the dead adults, giving them a chance to visit the families and friends they left behind. This is Mexico's Día de los Muertos - Day of the Dead - and the living prepare for the return of their departed with altars, candles, and above all, food!
Perhaps most prominent are the calaveras de azúcar - sugar skulls, a tasty confectionery available only for the holiday. This new, 100% custom deck from the USPCC draws its inspiration from the lively sights and tastes of the Day of the Dead, from the eye-popping colors of the card backs to the haunting skulls that underlie the custom artwork and pips of the card faces.
Printed on Bicycle card stock with an air-cushion finish, this deck is perfect for the holiday or all year round!
